ABOUT US
Meeting Green offers a design-first approach with practical application. We bring urban green spaces and microclimates to life for residential and commercial clients across the Low Country.
Based in the heart of Charleston, our work ranges from helping budding gardeners pick out their first Fiddle-Leaf Fig to designing distinct interior plant-scapes for restaurant groups to executing significant landscape/hardscape installations for local homeowners.
Regardless of the project scale, we help our clients fall in love with foliage and empower them to create, nurture and enjoy their unique green-space.
At Meeting Green, we are on a mission to leave the world a little greener than we found it with a unique retail and design firm synonymous with sustainability, trust and imagination.
OUR STORY
Co-founded by Kendal Leonard and Sam Metzger in 2018, Meeting Green came to be after the pair realized a lack of plant accessibility in downtown Charleston.
Kendal originally pursued a career making sustainable, upcycled wedding and evening gowns through Kendal Leonard Designs. This experience shaped Meeting Green's aesthetic; a downtown oasis and landscape design firm housing a dynamic selection of plants coupled with pragmatic planting solutions.
Sam pursued landscaping full-time after earning his BA in Business from the College of Charleston. Following a stint as a sod-specialist for golf courses across Hilton Head, Sam brought his installation expertise, project management experience, and love for secret gardens to Meeting Green.
The duo approaches each space from a design perspective first before focusing on practical function and realistic execution. Priding themselves on honest recommendations, success comes from inspiring green thumbs with what will survive and thrive over time.
